Why would King Juan Carlos' illegitimate daughter have a claim to the throne?

Because the Spanish royal family doesn't seem to be as smart about taking care of "problems" as the UK royals are....do you think Prince Philip would not have taken care of this long before that book was written if it had happened in HIS family?
