Why do Americans want to legalize weed?

It's the dumb*sses trying to sound cool because apparently smoking weed is cool. If they did legalize it I can guarantee you that half the people who wanted it legalized wouldn't even smoke it and it wouldn't be nearly as popular if it were to be legalized. Next they'd want cocaine and heroin to be legalized. Some people are just too dumb.
